history

The Annenheim was built on the grounds of the "Schwarzweber" property in the period after the construction of the West Hungarian Railway. It is the oldest villa that was built in Laßnitzhöhe. At that time, the Schwarzweber estate represented the easternmost farming operation in the Wöbling community and bordered on Nestelbach near Graz ; By amalgamating the municipalities in 1951, the new municipality of Laßnitzhöhe was created, into which the Nestelbacher village of Buckelberg was incorporated.

In 1905 the married couple Leonhard and Maria Rohrer acquired the Annenheim and for three generations this family determined the fate of the building. In 1911 the restoration of the Annenheim, today's Pension Waldlust, in 1913 three residential buildings along the driveway to the Annenheim were sold. The Annenheim was operated as a guesthouse until the 1960s, after which Dr. Erich Bretschneider converted it into a practice for general medicine and ran it until his retirement. After that he lived in the Annenheim until his death.

Pension Waldlust and Villa Rose

In the restaurant, which has been independent since 1911, at the time named after its owner Fischer, the Styrian local poet Peter Rosegger also took several vacations between 1910 and 1917. In 1935 a building was sold to the Vötsch family, who expanded it and was known as Villa Rose. The building was demolished.

Waldlust has been rebuilt several times and is currently operated as a pension . The painting on plaster by Heribert Deutsch comes from the time of the renovation in 1983. The weather cross , known as the Buckelbauernkreuz, has been detectable since the early 19th century and is located at the junction from the main road in front of the Sturmannvillen. The district gravel pit used to be on the eastern slope of the Buckelberg.
