Annie Camp

Annie Camp is an American cellist and music teacher .

Annie Camp, originally from Atlanta, studied at the Juilliard School with Leonard Rose , Lorne Munroe , Joseph Fuchs , Martha Gerschefski and Wolfgang Laufer . She attended master classes by Joel Krosnick and Janos Starker and obtained a certificate as a music teacher at the New York School for Strings with Louise Behrend , a student of Shinichi Suzuki . She then taught the string orchestras of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and the New York Public School System , later she became a cello teacher at Berry College and Lee University and head of string orchestra at the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia.

During her time in New York she performed with the LYRA String Quartet , the Dal Sego Piano Trio , the Da Capo String Quartet and the Ensemble Jazz a Cordes of New York City . She was a member of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra for seven years and then went to the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra . She has also performed with orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra , the Atlanta Opera and Atlanta Ballet orchestras , the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra , the Greenville Symphony , the Lee University Chamber Orchestra and the DeKalb Community Orchestra .
