Annika Malacinski (born May 9, 2001 ) is an American Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Malacinski, who starts for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club , made her international debut on August 24, 2018 in Oberstdorf as part of the Youth Cup . She made her Continental Cup debut on December 14, 2018 in the competition in Steamboat Springs , which she finished in seventh place. On the following weekend, Malacinski competed in Park City in the Continental Cup, but did not appear at any other stations. She finished the season in 22nd place overall.

In the absence of last year's winner Tara Geraghty-Moats , Malacinski won the national championship title in Park City in July 2019, which was awarded in the mass start. A few months later she won the Finnish summer championships in Kuopio for her club Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura .

Personal

Malacinski is half- Finnish . Her brother Niklas is also active as a Nordic combined athlete.
