Anniona

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Anniona (also called Aennion , Anniena and Ennion ) were one of the Bavarian prehistoric and noble families .

They are expressly mentioned in the Lex Baiuvariorum , in which the old popular law of the Baier tribal duchy from 635 onwards, alongside the Huosi , Trozza , Fagana , Hahiligga (also Hahilinga ) and the ducal family of the Agilolfinger . In the documents that became common in Bavaria from the 8th century onwards, they are not mentioned in contrast to other of these families, so that it can be assumed that they were no longer of extraordinary importance for the duchy at that time.

The clan name is traced back to "the well-meaning" or "the amiable" and is therefore intended to express a quality.
