Annotation Query Language

The Annotation Query Language (AQL) is a database language for building extractors for text mining . This enables structured information to be extracted from semi-structured and unstructured data or documents. AQL is similar in its syntax to the database query language SQL .

AQL was developed by IBM in 2004 and is used in products such as IBM InfoSphere BigInsights, IBM InfoSphere Streams and IBM SPSS .
