Anolis allisoni is a lizard from the group of iguanas . It lives in Cuba in cultivated landscapes and in open and closed forests andlivesmainly in low bushes and shrubs, with a dense crown also on medium-sized trees.

The males reach a maximum size of 25 centimeters and are predominantly green, the females can be 18 centimeters long and are more brownish. Anolis allisoni have the ability to change their color dress from light green tones to dark brown tones. Depending on the mood of the male, shades of blue appear in the head region and on the front body. The throat flag is usually wine-red to purple.
Way of life
The animals live in the same biotope with Anolis porcatus . Males are incompatible with one another. Anolis allisoni decreases its activity from January to March.
Multiplication
A clutch consists of one to two eggs, which are laid every three to six weeks during the main activity period from May to October. To lay eggs, the female looks for the ground, where it buries the eggs about two to five centimeters deep. In total, the females can lay up to 20 eggs a year. The incubation period is about 60 to 70 days. Young animals are initially brown after hatching.
