The attack on a pageant in Apeldoorn on Koninginnedag 2009 in the presence of Queen Beatrix was a rampage on Koninginnedag (April 30th) 2009.

A driver drove through the rows of spectators at high speed and broke through a barrier. His alleged target was a bus that drove the royal family in the parade. He missed it by a few meters and finally stopped due to an impact on de Naald , a marble obelisk on the edge of the grounds of Het Loo .

Seven spectators and the gunman lost their lives as a result of the rampage. Despair over one's own precarious situation is assumed to be the motive.
