Taloqan attack on May 28, 2011

The attack in Taloquan on May 28, 2011 was a serious attack in northern Afghanistan , in which seven people were killed.

The police commander for northern Afghanistan, Mohammed Daud Daud , and the police chief of Tachar province were killed in the bomb attack in front of the governor's seat in Taloqan . In addition, two Bundeswehr soldiers, Major Thomas Tholi and Sergeant Tobias Lagenstein, died . The German commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Northern Afghanistan (Commander Regional Command North; RC North), Major General Markus Kneip , was seriously wounded in the attack .
