Connection line multiplexer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The access line multiplexer ( AslMx ) is a transmission system used by Deutsche Telekom for the access network . The system is used for multiple use of copper connection lines for analog and ISDN connections and always consists of a switching-side device and a subscriber-side device.

The analog can AslMx a maximum of 26 or 13 ISDN connections multiplexed and HDB3 -codiert via the two pairs of a 2-Mbit / s line ( E1 ) transferred. Mixed operation is also possible (for example seven ISDN and twelve analog connections). Alternatively, it is possible to connect an AslMx to a fiber optic interface instead of a 2 Mbit / s interface.

The AslMx is usually used when there are no longer enough free twin wires in the main cable network of the access network (between the exchange and the cable distributor ) to implement a telephone connection. The device on the subscriber's side is usually built into an additional double-door KVz (KVz 83) near the KVz, in which there is also space for a local power supply . As with all other multiplex technologies for the access network, it is not possible to provide a DSL connection with connections that are switched via an AslMx .

Large stocks of AslMx are available at Deutsche Telekom for disaster recovery management , where you want to use the devices in order to implement a large number of telephone connections very flexibly and within a very short time.
