Anselm Schulz

Anselm Schulz OSB (born May 12, 1931 in Apolda ; † May 13, 2012 in Schweiklberg ; actually Gotthard Schulz ) was a German Benedictine monk .

Life

Schulz was ordained a priest on July 15, 1956 in Schweiklberg. In 1968 he was elected fourth abbot of the Benedictine abbey in Schweiklberg to succeed Willibald Margraf . In 1971 he had the interior of the abbey church redesigned, and in 1982 the exterior as well. He then worked from 1982 to 2006 as a pastor in the Münsig Parish Association. From 1993 to 2001 he was also dean of the Wolfratshausen dean's office.
