Ansgar panning

Ansgar Schwenken (born December 1, 1969 in Lüdinghausen ) is a German football official .

Life

Schwenken grew up in Selm , studied business administration with a focus on controlling in Bielefeld and Münster, and began on April 1, 1996 as a management assistant at the professional soccer club VfL Bochum . In April 2001, after Klaus Hilpert's leave of absence, he became the commercial director of the management. From 2003 to 2014, Schwenken was a full-time member of the board of VfL Bochum and was responsible for finance and organization.

Under his leadership, VfL Bochum was the first Bundesliga club to develop a written mission statement in 2007, which encompasses two perspectives: On the one hand, the employees' identification with the club should be strengthened and an orientation framework created (internal dimension), and on the other hand, the identity of VfL should be created Bochum is communicated to the outside world (external dimension). Schwenken saw the mission statement as a reaction to the economic expansion of the association, since in the last ten years before 2007 "sales ... from 14 to 36 million euros [rose]" and "the number of employees ... tripled during this time " would have.

From July 2014 to November 2015, Schwenken worked as a freelance consultant for 1. FC Kaiserslautern and supported the restructuring of the financial system there. On November 30, 2015 he became director of football affairs and fans of the German Football League (DFL). In this function he is a member of the DFL board with voting rights, having previously been a member of the DFL board from 2010 as the elected representative of the 2nd Bundesliga.
