Antanas Baskas

Antanas Baskas (born February 22, 1936 in Marijampolė ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

In 1955 he graduated from the Marijampolė high school and in 1960 the diploma course at the Kauno politechnikos institutas . From 1960 to 1966 he worked in Vilnius as a technician, engineer, laboratory and sub-department manager. From 1966 to 1977 he was a research assistant at the Institute of Lietuvos mokslų akademija . In 1973 he received his doctorate on network planning. From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of the Seimas . From 1996 to 2009 he worked at the Mathematics and Computer Science Institute.

From 1990 to 1992 he was a member of Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga and from 1994 to 1996 of LSDP .

He is married. He has the son Simas with his wife Gražina Masytė .
