Antanas Tenys
Antanas Tenys (born January 1, 1955 in Geidžiai near Mažeikiai ) is a Lithuanian politician, since 2011 mayor of the Mažeikiai district .
Life
After graduating from high school, Antanas Tenys graduated from 1979 to 1984 with a diploma at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in Kaunas and became an engineer. 1974–1984 he worked in the kolkhoz in Leckava as a mechanic . 1984–1993 Antanas Tenys headed a business unit in Auksūdis. From 1993 to 2011 he was a farmer and headed the UAB "Taulidas" company as director. From 1990 he was a deputy in the council of Mažeikiai district. Since 2011 he has been mayor of the Rajongemeinde Mažeikiai.
From 1990 Tenys was a member of Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija . Since 2001 he has been a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .

Tenys is married. With his wife Loreta he has the daughter Jurgita and the son Antanas.
