Anthony Derouard (born May 14, 1992 in Sablé-sur-Sarthe ) is a French football player .

Club career

Derouard began playing football in his hometown of Sablé, from where he moved to the youth department of the professional club Le Mans FC in 2006 . At Le Mans he moved up in 2009 at the age of 17 in the squad of the reserve team, with which he competed in the fourth division. The player's first appointment to the professional squad took place on December 21, 2010, when he was substituted on at 0-1 in a second division game against OC Vannes in the 85th minute, which was also his professional debut. Although Derouard signed a professional contract in January 2011, he had to wait until the following season for further assignments. After three games played in the 2011/12 season, one of which he accrued from the start, the player was regularly taken into account in the following 2012/13 season, even if he was mostly used as a joker. He scored his first professional goal on the first day of the match when he came on in the 83rd minute and scored three minutes later. In 2013, the club was relegated to the third division, but was forcibly relegated to the sixth division due to financial difficulties. Derouard's contract was thus invalid, so that he could turn his back on Le Mans and sign a new contract with third division club Luzenac AP with effect from November 1 of the same year .

At Luzenac he was regularly called up, but without having a permanent seat. At the end of the 2013/14 season, the sporting promotion to the second division was successful, but the club was denied the license for the higher league. After the case went through several instances, the southern French were not allowed to compete in the second or third division and the affiliation remained unclear, which is why Derouard's contract was terminated in September 2014.

National team

A few months after his inclusion in the B team at Le Mans, Derouard was nominated for the French U-18s in December 2009 and made his debut for this in a 1-1 draw against Ukraine. He wore the team's jersey seven more times before moving up to the U-19s in the summer of 2010 . With this he missed the qualification for the U-19 European Championship 2011 . Subsequently, he initially failed to make it into the France U-20 selection. In a friendly against Morocco in May 2012 he made his debut; But this was also his last contested encounter for a national youth selection.
