Anthony James Hill (born June 9, 1969 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian squash player who was ranked fifth in the world in 1999.

Career

The right-hander began his professional career after reaching the final of the Junior World Championship in 1988. He moved into the top ten men in 1989, from which he did not fall out until the end of his career as a player. He achieved his greatest successes in 1995 when he reached the World Cup semi-finals in Cyprus , as well as the World Cup semi-finals with the Australian national team in the 1999 team competition in Cairo . His style of play was considered very offensive and risk-taking. While he was active, he was banned by the WSF for two years for assault and abuse. In 2001 he ended his career.

Anthony Hill has lived in Cairo with his wife Leila and their child since retiring . Hill converted to Islam.
