Anthroporraistes or Anthroporrhaistes ( ancient Greek Ἀνθρωποῤῥαίστης , "people smashers ") is an epicle of the Greek god Dionysus , with whom he was worshiped on Tenedos .

From the cult of Dionysus Anthroporrhaistes it is known that a pregnant cow was consecrated in his honor. After calving, she was cared for like a woman who had recently given birth , whereas the newborn calf was first clothed with feces and then slaughtered. The butcher was then driven to the coast of the island by throwing stones.
