Antiallergic
An antiallergic is a drug that eliminates or at least relieves the symptoms of an allergic condition .
Classification
Antiallergics are classified according to the active ingredient groups and the type of application.
Active ingredient groups for ingestion
- herbal ingredients z. B. Extracts of tragacanth root (trade name: Allvent, Lectranal) (or others that are used in anthroposophic medicine )
- Mast cell stabilizers , e.g. B. cromoglicic acid , nedocromil sodium
- Antihistamines
- Organ and / or microorganism-containing preparations
- Desensitization solutions

- eye drop
- Nasal drops or sprays
- Inhalation sprays (metered aerosols )
- Creams
