Antigoni Papadopoulou
Antigoni Papadopoulou ( Greek Αντιγόνη Παπαδοπούλου Andigoni Papadopoulou , born July 8, 1954 in Morfou ) is a Cypriot- Greek politician of the Dimokratiko Komma .
Life
Papadopoulou studied chemistry at Russell Sage College in Troy in the United States and at Lancaster University in England. From December 1996 to May 2001 she was mayor of Morfou (today Güzelyurt). From June 2001 to July 2009 she was a member of the House of Representatives of Cyprus and a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009 , where she belongs to the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats . She is married to the manager Stelios Papadopoulos and has two sons.
