Anti-imperialist National Democratic Front

The Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF, English Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front ) is a party in South Korea . It is supposed to work as an espionage organization for North Korea and is therefore prohibited under the South Korean State Security Act ( 국가 보안법 ).

Objectives of the AINDF

The goals of the AINDF are:

  • "The national liberation of South Korea from the neocolonialist yoke of US imperialism",
  • "The creation of a new democratic and independent society in South Korea"

ideology

The AINDF is committed to the Chuch'e ideology and the Sŏn'gun idea founded by the North Korean state founder Kim Il Sung . But it does not explicitly call itself communist .

On March 15, 1964, the South Korean "revolutionaries" Kim Jong Tae and Choe Yong Do founded the "Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Revolutionary Party for Reunification" in the fight against the military regime led by Park Chung Hee .

In October 1966, the Seoul City Committee of this party was established, with Kim Jong Tae as chairman. Choe Yong Do headed the South Ch Südlla Provincial Committee . In July 1968 the military dictatorship smashed all party organizations; Kim Jong Tae and Choe Yong Do died in prison in 1969.

On August 25, 1969, the " Revolutionary Party for Reunification " was founded. In July 1985 it was renamed the " National Democratic Front of South Korea ". The party has had its current name since March 23, 2005.

Relations with North Korea

The AINDF supports North Korea and is recognized by its government as "the party that represents the desire and striving of the South Korean people for independence" and as the "patriotic vanguard of the revolutionary movement of South Korea". In the North Korean capital, Pyongyang , it has a delegate office headed by Jo Il Min.
