Zhaobishan Ancient Copper Mine

The Zhaobishan-copper mine ( 照壁山铜矿遗址 , Zhaobi Shān tóngkuàng yízhǐ , English Former Site of Ancient Zhaobishan Coppermine / Zhaobi Mountain Copper Mine Site ) is an ancient, up to the time of the Han Dynasty returning copper mine in Zhaobi Mountains (Zhaobi Shan). It is located in the north of the territory of the greater community Zhenluo ( 镇罗镇 ) of the municipality Shapotou of Zhongwei in Ningxia . It is the oldest copper mine in northwest China . The site was investigated by the Zhongwei City Museum .

The Zhaobishan Copper Mine has been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-215) since 2006 .
