Antifoggant (electroplating)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Antifoggants are used in electroplating to suppress the mist that forms in the acid baths . They are therefore also known as fog suppressors .

Perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS salts), 6: 2-FTS (H 4 PFOS salts), F-53B and F-53 are used in the galvanic chrome plating to reduce the exposure of workers to the carcinogenic chromium (VI) compounds to reduce.
