Antje-Kathrin Allgaier

Antje-Kathrin Allgaier (* 1974 ) is a German psychologist.

Life

From 1993 to 2000 she studied psychology ( diploma ) at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg . From 2001 to 2006 she was a research assistant at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After completing her doctorate in 2005 at the Medical Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, she was a research assistant at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012 she was a substitute professor for clinical psychology and intervention psychology with a focus on clinical developmental psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. After her habilitation in 2013 at the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and her license to practice as a psychological psychotherapist in 2013 , specializing in behavioral therapy, she was a deputy professor at the University of the Armed Forces in Munich from 2014 to 2017 . Since 2017 she has been teaching as a professor for clinical psychology and psychotherapy at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich .

Her main research interests are prevention of depressive disorders and suicidality, diagnosis and classification of affective disorders and interventions in affective disorders.
