Antoine Beaussant

Antoine Beaussant (* 1957 ) has been CEO of Buffet Crampon since November 2007 . He was previously a member of the company's supervisory board.

Life

Antoine Beaussant comes from a family of musicians and writers. His father, the author and musicologist Philippe Beaussant , was a member of the Académie Française .

Initially, Beaussant worked in the field of new technologies and publishing as a manager and entrepreneur. For two years he was Assistant General Director at the IT company Capgemini Sogeti, after which he was editor of the French art magazines “L'Oeil” and “Journal des Arts” . He was also active as a pioneer of the Internet in France, where in 1999 he founded “Nart”, the first online presence for art auctions and two other start-ups.

Beaussant plays the oboe and has a musical education. He tried to expand the sales network of Buffet Crampon and founded a branch in China in cooperation with the composer Qi Gang Chen. In 2008, Buffet Crampon acquired the Besson and Antoine Courtois brands for brass instruments. In August 2010, Schreiber & Keilwerth was taken over by the group.
