Antoine Penchenier

Antoine Penchenier (* Montélimar ; † 1761 ) was a French doctor and encyclopaedist .

Live and act

Penchenier came from Montélimar and studied medicine in Montpellier , where he also practiced. He edited the Encyclopaedia of Denis Diderot , the Lemma goutte . There he dealt critically with the miracle drug and antidote orvietan .
