Antonín Koníček

Antonín Koníček (born June 14, 1952 ) is a Czech music teacher , composer , arranger , musician , conductor and owner of the music publisher AKon. He is the founder of the Boršičanka brass band .

Life

Antonín Koníček did a 5-year education at the music school. He then studied trumpet at the Conservatory from 1967 to 1973 , as well as the secondary instruments percussion , piano and cello . Koníček worked for several bands as a conductor , trumpeter and studio musician. He was a judge on the jury at international competitions. Antonín Koníček is a lecturer at workshops abroad. In October 2000 he founded his Borsicanka marching band by Antonín Koníček, which consists exclusively of professional musicians.

In 1993 Koníček founded his own music publishing company AKon. He has made 75 music productions with Czech brass bands. He mainly composes in the Moravian style for his marching band Borsicanka and for other marching bands. Koníček wrote about 50 compositions.
