Anton Anderl

Anton Anderl (born February 25, 1909 in Zwettl ; † January 4, 1988 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and railroad worker. Anderl was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1949 to 1969 .

Anderl's mother died when he was three months old. He attended the elementary school in Zwettl and Bad Großpertholz and then the public school in Vienna . He then worked as an agricultural laborer before he became a superstructure worker at the ÖBB in 1928 . After the National Socialists came to power, Anderl was dismissed for political and racist reasons in 1938 and subsequently worked as an unskilled worker. In 1945 it was put back into service by the ÖBB. Anderl was politically active as a local councilor between 1946 and 1970 and was also district party chairman as well as a functionary in the ASKÖ and deputy chairman of Volkshilfe . He represented the SPÖ between November 5, 1949 and November 20, 1969 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
