Anton Berghamer

Anton Berghamer (born June 12, 1878 in Schalchen , Upper Austria; † February 4, 1934 there) was an Austrian farmer , industrialist and politician .

The hammer mill owner was very active. Among other things, he was chairman of the district cooperative of farmers in Mattighofen, a member of the Braunau district school council and the board of trustees of the war victims fund and advisory board of the Ried agricultural district authority . He was also active as a member of the State Fisheries Council. He was married and had two sons and a daughter.

Between 1919 and 1925 Berghamer was a member of the state parliament for the Christian Social Party . He was very proactive and often appeared in the state parliament. After his death Berghammer was buried in the cemetery of Schalchen, but exhumed with his wife in 1966 and transferred to the cemetery in Mattighofen. The chopping machine run by Berghammer was sold by his wife after his death.
