Anton Braun (bishop)
Anton Braun (* in Hainsfarth ; † August 13, 1540 ) was a German bishop and auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt .
Life
In 1522 Braun was ordained a priest for the diocese of Eichstätt. On May 4, 1530 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt and titular bishop of Philadelphia in Arabia . On July 31, 1530, Johann Laymann , auxiliary bishop in Augsburg , consecrated him as bishop .
