The Beijing Senova X65 is the first sport utility vehicle from the Chinese Beijing Motor Corporation . The brand is Beijing and the sub-brand is Senova . The manufacturer himself describes Senova as a series .
history
The vehicle was presented in November 2014 at the Guangzhou Auto Show . It has been available in China since March 2015. The SUV is positioned above the Beijing Senova X55 . In Germany it was meanwhile offered by the importer Indimo . The car is also available in many Latin American countries .
Technically, the X65 is based on the Saab 9-3 . The parent company Beijing Automotive Industry Holding acquired the rights to the platforms of the Swedish automobile manufacturer from Saab in 2009 . The Beijing Weiwang S50 of the Beijing Weiwang sub- brand was sold between March 2016 and December 2017 as an identical model to the Beijing Senova X65 using badge engineering . The Beijing BJ20 , the Huansu S6 and the Borgward BX7 available in Germany are also based on the X65.
Technical specifications
The Beijing Senova X65 is powered by a turbocharged two-liter gasoline engine with 130 kW (177 hp) from Saab. The SUV has a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, and a 6- speed automatic transmission is available as an option. Four-wheel drive is not available.
Like the Beijing BJ20 and the Huansu S6, the Beijing Weiwang S50 is powered by a 110 kW (150 PS) 1.5-liter gasoline engine from Mitsubishi Motors . The Borgward BX7 has a 165 kW (224 PS) two-liter gasoline engine that was developed by Foton .

Quantities
23,423 vehicles of the Beijing Weiwang were sold in China in 2016. The following year the number fell to 15,760. In total, that's 39,183 vehicles.
