With the Beijing Senova D20 , the Chinese automobile manufacturer Beijing Motor Corporation offered a more luxuriously equipped offshoot of its Beijing E series from 2014 to 2017 . The brand is Beijing and the sub-brand is Senova . The manufacturer himself describes Senova as a series .
Basics
Although the design of the vehicle is very reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class , the technology used is that of the first generation of the Smart Forfour . The look itself is a copy of the first Mercedes-Benz B-Class. For the D20, the BAW only sees the Daihatsu Mira e: S and the Smart Forfour as competitors.
In contrast to its sister model, the E series, the D20 is only available as a small car. However, it is also available here as a mini SUV with the additional designation Cross. There are two engines to choose from. The L4 engine is available either with a displacement of 1332 cm³ and an output of 75 kW or a displacement of 1499 cm³ with an output of 85 kW. Consumption is given as 6.2 to 6.5 liters per 100 km with the 5-speed manual transmission and 7 liters per 100 km with the 4-speed automatic. The D20 is available in 12 different equipment lines.
The vehicle was sold in China from 2014 to 2018.
Electric variants
The battery-powered model variants "Beijing Senova EV160 BEV" and "EV200 BEV" are both based on the Senova D20 basic construction. The Senova model family is called "Shenbao" in Chinese.
EV160
The battery-electric powered model variant "Beijing Senova EV160 BEV" is a sister model variant to the "Beijing Senova EV200 BEV". The latter came onto the Chinese market in December 2014. The present model variant "EV160 BEV" was also marketed at some point in China, possibly even at the same time as that of the "EV200 BEV". The electric drive consists of an electric motor with a motor output of 53 kW, i.e. 72 PS, and a lithium-ion traction battery with a charging capacity of 25.6 kWh. The traction battery cells and the battery technology were supplied by the company "SK Innovation" from South Korea. According to the Chinese test cycle "China specific drive cycle for emissions and fuel consumption test v1", at which a maximum speed of 60 km / h occurs during the test process, the range is 160 kilometers. At least that's what the manufacturer says. The peak torque of the drive is 180 Newton meters. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes around 13 seconds and the top speed around 125 km / h.
EV200
In December 2014, a battery-powered version of the model called “Beijing Senova EV200 BEV” was launched on the Chinese market. Their electric drive has an engine output of 53 kW, i.e. 72 PS. The basic components of the electric drive also include a traction battery with a charging capacity of 30.4 kWh. The traction battery cells and the battery technology also come from "SK Innovation". According to the Chinese test cycle "China specific drive cycle for emissions and fuel consumption test v1", at which a maximum speed of 60 km / h occurs during the test process, the range is 200 kilometers. At least that's what the manufacturer says. The peak torque of the drive is - as with the sister model variant - 180 Newton meters. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is also around 13 seconds, and the top speed is around 125 km / h. The original price of this variant in the basic configuration was about 226,900 yuan.
