Anton Johannes Collin (born October 12, 1891 in Pihlajavesi , † May 31, 1973 in Ähtäri ) was a Finnish cross-country skier and cyclist .

Career

Collin, who competed for Ähtärin Urheilijat and Lahden Hiihtoseura, won the 50 km run at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1922 . The following year he won the Lahti Ski Games over 10 km. At the Olympic Winter Games in Chamonix in 1924 , he finished 16th over 18 km. He ended the 50 km run prematurely. In the same year he took part in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris as a cyclist . He started in the road race, which he ended prematurely. In the team classification, he achieved 13th place. In March 1925 he ran at the Lahti Ski Games in third place over 10 km. He completed his last international race at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1926 . There he came in 13th place over 50 km.
