Anton Eyssen (born September 2, 1849 in Frankfurt am Main ; † April 20, 1928 there ) was a German architect in Frankfurt am Main. As a former representative of late historicist architecture, he turned to modernism from the late 1920s.

His best-known building is the late Baroque Villa Merton in Frankfurt-Bockenheim , which he designed for the manufacturer Richard Merton in 1927 . The Villa Hirsch , built for Robert von Hirsch in Friedrichstrasse in the Westend only one year later, was already a typical example of classical modernism . The building, which is not listed, was demolished in June 2010 in order to build a new residential complex. In 1936 Eyssen donated his own house at Lessingstrasse 5 to the Frankfurt Städel .

His design from 1883 for the now listed double dwelling in the neo-renaissance style with a richly structured sandstone facade and structural elements by means of balustrades, pilasters and half-column positions as well as hermen pilasters in the Bockenheimer Anlage 33/35 also survived the World War II. His tenement house in Frankfurt Unterlindau 1 / Bockenheimer Landstrasse 22, designed in 1886, also in the Neo-Renaissance style with richly structured facades has been preserved and is a listed building. The building is centered via a gabled axial projection and corner bay windows under turrets.
