Anton Huber (soccer player, 1916)
Anton Huber (born April 8, 1916 ) was a German football goalkeeper. For the Warnsdorfer FK he was at the final round of the German football championship in 1938/39 involved, in 1948 he won with the SG Planitz the 1948 ostzonenmeisterschaft .
Athletic career
In 1939, the 23-year-old football goalkeeper Anton Huber became champion of the Gauliga Sudetenland with Warnsdorfer FK . With the championship, Warnsdorfer qualified for the final round of the German championship. In the group games, Warnsdorfer FK lost to Dresdner SC with 1: 3 and 1: 5, and 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 with 1: 4 and 2: 4 and were eliminated from the tournament. Huber was used in all four matches. After the Second World War , Huber joined the SG Planitz. With her he became West Saxon soccer champion in 1948. The West Saxony took part in the first East Zone Championship and advanced into the final. With the 32-year-old Huber in goal, SG Planitz won the championship with a 1-0 victory over SG Freiimfelde . Also in the 1948/49 season Huber was part of the squad of SG Planitz, which was renamed Horch Zwickau during the season and only came fourth in the Saxon championship. Huber was then replaced by Max Hofsommer .
