Anton Lussmann

Anton Lussmann , also Anton Lußmann (* 1864 in Frankfurt am Main , † 1928 ) was a German sculptor.

Life

Lussmann studied sculpture in his hometown at the Städelsche Kunstinstitut and then further in Berlin. Some of his works can be found in Frankfurt am Main at the town hall and in the main cemetery . Furthermore, some smaller sculptures by him are known.

Works

  • undated : grave stele with the half-relief of a seated, mourning angel , main cemetery in Frankfurt, grave site sponsored, won in F 1836.
  • 1900: Fright while bathing , approx. 60 cm high marble figure of a girl who is frightened by an oversized bronze crayfish. Art trade 2011.
  • 1903: Devotional (praying girl) , plaster. Frankfurter Kunstverein , exhibition 1904, catalog page 20 No. 159.
  • 1905: grieving girl , tomb in the old cemetery in Darmstadt
  • 1907: Georg Passet tomb , animal fountain made of yellow sandstone with bronze figures. Restored in 2011 and placed in working order at the old cemetery in Darmstadt.
  • 1908: Landgrafenbrunnen (Bad Homburg vor der Höhe)
