Anton Pucher
Anton Pucher (born August 9, 1900 in Vienna , † after 1960) was an Austrian cameraman .
Live and act
Pucher joined the film industry in 1914, learned his trade from scratch and stood behind the camera for the first time as an independent cameraman at the end of the war in 1918. During the rest of the silent film era, the native of Vienna worked in Austrian, Hungarian and German studios. During the Nazi era he was in the technical service of Wien-Film . At the end of the war in 1945, he returned behind the camera and photographed The Wide Way, Austria's first post-war film. In 1949, Pucher was in charge of a series of musical short films as a cameraman, followed by full-length documentaries. After the stage filming of Schiller's Don Carlos (1960), Anton Pucher disappeared from the public eye.
