history

Tränkle factory building in Triberg in 1900

In 1889, Anton Tränkle founded the family company, which is now run by the fourth generation. He built up a company for the production of turned parts and built his first own factory building in 1899.

His son Herrmann joined his father's company after the First World War . Together they led the company through the rigors of the inflationary 1920s and the subsequent global economic crisis. Until the mid-1930s, bicycle valves were the most important Tränkle product. They have been replaced by ball bearings.

In 1945 the company shared the fate of many others: the dismantling of all machines. Just as father and son were trying to make a fresh start with used machines, Anton Tränkle died in the spring of 1946. Hermann Tränkle rebuilt the company and geared the production program to precision turned parts.

With the entry of Gerhard Tränkle in 1968, internationalization was advanced. In 1977 a turned parts production facility was built in Elzach . Gerhard Tränkle has been supported in running the company by his son Björn Anton since 2008.
