Antonio Cattalinich

Antonio Cattalinich (born Ante Katalinić on February 11, 1895 in Zara , Kingdom of Dalmatia ; died October 31, 1981 ) was an Italian rower .

Cattalinich was born in the Kingdom of Dalmatia, part of Austria-Hungary . After the First World War , his hometown fell to Italy through the Rapallo border treaty .

At the European Championships in 1922 , the French eighth won, followed by the Italian eighth in the line-up of Luigi Miller , Carlo Toniatti , Francesco Cattalinich , Simeone Cattalinich , Alfredo Toniatti , Antonio Cattalinich, Bruno Sorich , Latino Galasso and Simeone Sofonia . In 1924, the Italian eighth competed in the Olympic Games with Antonio Cattalinich, Francesco Cattalinich, Simeone Cattalinich, Giuseppe Crivelli , Latino Galasso, Pietro Ivanov , Bruno Sorich, Carlo Toniatti and Vittorio Gliubich . Behind the boats from the United States and Canada, the Italian eighth won the bronze medal ahead of the British.

The three Cattalinich brothers belonged to the Diadora rowing club in their hometown of Zara.
