Pietro Ivanov
Pietro Ivanov , actually Petar Ivanov , (* 1894 in Zara , Kingdom of Dalmatia , † 1961 ) was an Italian rower .
Ivanov was born in the Kingdom of Dalmatia, a part of Austria-Hungary . After the First World War , his hometown fell to Italy through the Rapallo border treaty .
At the European Championships in 1923 , the Italian eighth with Luigi Miller , Carlo Toniatti , Simeone Cattalinich , Pietro Ivanov, Giuseppe Crivelli , Francesco Cattalinich , Bruno Sorich , Latino Galasso and helmsman Vittorio Gliubich won the title in front of the boat from Switzerland. The following year, the Italian eighth competed in the Olympic Games with Antonio Cattalinich , Francesco Cattalinich, Simeone Cattalinich, Giuseppe Crivelli, Latino Galasso, Pietro Ivanov, Bruno Sorich, Carlo Toniatti and Vittorio Gliubich. Behind the boats from the United States and Canada, the Italian eighth won the bronze medal ahead of the British.
Ivanov belonged to the Diadora rowing club in his hometown of Zara. Later Ivanov was the head coach of the rowing club VK Krka Šibenik .
