Antonio Hernández Palacios
Antonio Hernández Palacios (born June 16, 1921 in Madrid , † January 19, 2000 ) was a Spanish cartoonist .
After completing his studies, Hernández Palacios worked as an advertising artist, film poster painter and book illustrator and only drew comics sporadically. From 1970 he created the historical comic El Cid and the western series Manos Kelly for the newly founded magazine Trinca , which were also published in Germany. From 1979 he produced the western series Mac Coy for the French publisher Dargaud together with the lyricist Jean-Pierre Gourmelen , which made 21 albums. Other works by him were the war drama Eloy and the historical comic Roncesvalles .
