Antonio López-Istúriz White (born April 1, 1970 in Pamplona ) is a Spanish politician of the conservative PP party and a member of the European Parliament .

After a university degree in law and business administration, López-Istúriz worked from 1999 to 2002 as assistant to the conservative Prime Minister José María Aznar . In 2002 he was appointed General Secretary of the European People's Party , the Christian Democratic-Conservative European party to which the Spanish PP belongs. In 2003 López-Istúriz also succeeded Alejandro Agag as Executive Secretary of the Christian Democratic International ; He is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Foreign Policy Committee of the PP.

In the 2004 European elections , Istúriz-White was elected to the European Parliament , where he became a member of the Executive Committee of the EPP-ED Group . He is also a member of the Legal Affairs Committee and the delegation of the European Parliament to the Joint Parliamentary Assembly of the ACP States and the EU . In the European elections in Spain in 2009 , he was elected again.
