Antonio Rizzello (born January 5, 1985 in Rapperswil ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with the GCK Lions in the Swiss League since June 2019 .

Career

Antonio Rizzello grew up in Rapperswil and began his career at SC Rapperswil-Jona . In 2006 he moved to the SCL Tigers for one season . After this season, the striker received a contract with Friborg-Gottéron , with whom he defeated SC Bern in the playoff quarter-finals in the 2007/08 season and advanced to the playoff semi-finals.

Before the 2008/09 season , Rizzello returned to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and was team captain there from 2015 to 2019 . For the 2019/20 season he signed a one-year contract with the GCK Lions with play in the second-rate Swiss League .

International

Rizzello played with the Swiss U18 team at the 2003 World Cup and with the U20 national team at the 2004 World Cup .
