Antonios Exarchos

Antonios Exarchos (* 1932 in Athens ) is a former Greek diplomat.

Career

He studied law at the University of Athens . In 1961 he joined the foreign service. From 1964 to 1967 he was employed at the Consulate General in Alexandria . From 1967 to 1970 he was employed at the embassy in Belgrade . From 1970 to 1971 he had exequartur as consul general in Toronto . From 1974 to 1975 he was employed by the Greek Mission next to the United Nations Office in Geneva . From 1977 to 1981 he was Deputy Head of Mission at the European Economic Community in Brussels . From 1982 to 1984 and from 1988 to 1989 he was employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens . From 1984 to 1986 he was ambassador to Baghdad (Iraq). From 1989 to 1990 he coordinated political affairs in the Foreign Ministry. From 1990 to 1994 he was permanent representative of the Greek government next to the UN headquarters . He is married and has three children.
