The Antoniterkloster Würzburg is a former monastery of the Antonites in Würzburg in Bavaria in the diocese of Würzburg .

history

The monastery was founded in 1434 and was subordinate to the Preceptorate Isenheim . It was dissolved in the course of the Reformation in 1545 , at the beginning of October 1545 the Antoniushof was leased to a citizen named Mumpach, who set up an inn there. The church, which was restored and re-consecrated in 1610, was acquired by the city of Würzburg in 1686, along with other buildings of the monastery complex, taken over by the Ursulines in 1725 and badly damaged in the Second World War. From 1972 to 1980 the chapel in Ursulinengasse was rebuilt in simplified form.
