The Apollo Theater in London opened in February 1901 near Piccadilly Circus in the West End theater district in the City of Westminster . It offers space for 775 spectators on four levels. Well-known actors like Peter O'Toole and Vanessa Redgrave have performed here. The theater is listed as a Grade II building .

Building history

The building was constructed by the architect Lewin Sharp for the first owner, Henry Lowenfeld.

Accident in December 2013

On December 19, 2013, during a performance of the play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Simon Stephens based on the novel by Mark Haddon , part of a stucco ceiling collapsed and injured around 80 people 7 difficult.
