Apollonia von Waldenfels († February 21, 1543 ) was abbess of the Himmelkron monastery from 1529 to 1543.

Apollonia came from the von Waldenfels family . She added to the western wing of the monastery. In total there are two inscriptions including their coat of arms, which indicate their building activity.

The Reformation found its way into the region and was well received by the population and the clergy. Margrave Georg used the unstable situation for his own political purposes: he gained an overview of the monastery's assets and forced the conversion to Protestantism. In 1529, Bishop Weigand von Redwitz of Bamberg lodged a complaint at the assembly of the Swabian Federation that the clergy of the Himmelkron and Hof monasteries were being forced to convert to the new faith. A document dated October 27, 1531 shows that the preacher Johannes Behaim, appointed by the margrave, went into an open argument with the abbess and the prioress Dorothea von Wirsberg from the pulpit . In the period from 1533 to 1537, enclosing walls and gates were added to the monastery. Apollonia died on Wednesday after Reminiscere in 1543 and was buried in the monastery church.
