Apostolar of Ohrid

The Apostolar of Ohrid is a manuscript in Old Church Slavonic in Cyrillic script from the late 12th century, probably from Macedonia ( School of Ohrid ). It consists of 112 sheets of parchment and contains the incomplete text of the Acts of the Apostles and the letters of the New Testament for liturgical reading on Sundays and public holidays as well as a menologion . The text contains numerous Glagolitic letters (mixed up), two pages are written exclusively in Glagolitic script. There was probably a Glagolitic template.

In 1845 the manuscript was found in the Kliments Cathedral in Ohrid by the Russian Slavist Viktor Grigorowitsch. Today it is in the Russian State Library in Moscow , call number фонд 1706 (Григорович), № 13, M. 1695.
