Apostolic Vicariate King George Sounde - The Sound

The former Apostolic Vicariate King George Sounde - The Sound , located in Australia , was formed in 1845 from areas of the Archdiocese of Adelaide and Sydney , but was repealed in 1847. Its territories were then divided between the dioceses of Adelaide and Perth .

The vicariate was named after King George Sound , a bay on the southwest coast of Australia.
