Erhard von Appenweiler
Erhard von Appenweiler or Erhard von Appenwiler (attested from 1429; † 1471/1472 in Basel ) was a cleric and chronicler in Basel.
life and work
Erhard von Appenweiler came from a respected family from Appenweiler near Colmar . From 1429 until his death he worked as a chaplain at the Basel Minster . In 1443 he also became treasurer of the Brotherhood of St. John. On the empty pages of a Saxon world chronicle , he recorded events in Basel's contemporary history from 1439 to 1471.
