AppleTalk Data Stream Protocol
AppleTalk Data Stream Protocol (ADSP) is a term used in computer science .
The AppleTalk Data Stream Protocol , or ADSP for short, is a symmetrical, connection-oriented protocol in an AppleTalk network, via which two computers can establish a virtual data connection and communicate in both directions.
It is defined in RFC 1742 .
The protocol belongs to the session layer .
The AppleTalk protocol stack
The AppleTalk protocols can be divided into several layers that form a protocol stack . The protocols can be classified in the ISO-OSI reference model as follows :
OSI layer | AppleTalk protocol stack | ||||||
7th | AFP | PAP | |||||

5 | ZIP | ASP | ADSP | ||||
4th | ATP | AEP | NBP | RTMP | |||
