The Apterogyninae are a subfamily of the Bradynobaenidae within the hymenoptera (Hymenoptera). Of these, 80 species in two genera are known.

Their distribution ranges from tropical and northern Africa through Europe to Asia. The mostly monochrome black or brownish colored males are winged, while the brown or black and reddish colored females are wingless. The representatives of the subfamily examined so far, like those of the New World Bradynobaeninae , no longer have a stridulation organ . Some species are nocturnal, others are diurnal. In addition, little is known about their way of life.
